Our Commitment to Accuracy

AICost is an independent pricing database for AI models and products. We are committed to providing accurate, up-to-date, and verifiable pricing information to help developers, teams, and businesses make informed decisions about their AI infrastructure spending.

Data Collection Methodology

All pricing data on AICost is sourced from official provider documentation. Our process includes:

  • Primary sources: Official pricing pages, API documentation, and published rate cards from each AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral AI, DeepSeek).
  • Standardization: All prices are normalized to USD per 1 million tokens to allow fair comparison across providers.
  • Scope: We report standard API pricing. Special pricing tiers (batch, cached, fine-tuned, committed-use discounts) may not be reflected unless explicitly noted.
  • Exclusions: Prices do not include applicable taxes, data transfer fees, or provider-specific surcharges.

Verification Process

Each pricing entry undergoes the following verification:

  1. Initial entry: A team member records the price from the official provider source and documents the source URL.
  2. Cross-check: A second team member independently verifies the price against the same or alternative official source.
  3. Timestamp: Every entry includes a "Last Verified" date indicating when the price was last confirmed against the official source.

Update Frequency

We monitor provider pricing pages and announcements on a daily basis. When a provider announces a pricing change, we aim to update our database within 24 hours. Major model launches are typically reflected within hours of the official announcement.

Error Correction

Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. If you find incorrect or outdated pricing on AICost:

  • Email us at [email protected] with the model name, the incorrect value, the correct value, and a link to the official source.
  • We will verify and correct confirmed errors within 24 hours.
  • Significant corrections are noted in the model's change history.

Editorial Independence

AICost editorial content (including comparisons, guides, and blog posts) is produced independently. Our pricing data and recommendations are not influenced by any commercial relationships.

  • We do not accept payment to alter or misrepresent pricing data.
  • Product listings on our site may include referral links. These links do not affect the pricing information displayed and are always disclosed.
  • Sponsored or promoted content, if any, is clearly labeled.

Commercial Relationships Disclosure

Some product pages on AICost may contain outbound links to third-party websites. These links may include tracking parameters for analytics purposes. When a commercial referral relationship exists, the link will be marked with rel="sponsored" in accordance with search engine guidelines.
